Gday,

I've started a blog, which will hopefully track the 'progress' blues make with the new board in place.

It's pretty basic and hasn't got a vast amount on it yet, but i'd be grateful if y'all would drop by occasionaly.

> Bordeaux Blanc pops Yeung's cork.

News O' The World Linkage

QUOTE
BIRMINGHAM owner Carson Yeung could bring Bordeaux boss Laurent Blanc to St Andrew's.
Yeung is ready to commit £40million on transfers but is not convinced current boss Alex McLeish is the right man to spend it.

Credible draws against Manchester City and Liverpool have helped the Scottish manager's cause but uncertainty in the boardroom still hangs over McLeish.

Blues also picked up three points on Saturday with a 1-0 win against Fulham.

But the new supremo has his own thoughts on the situation and would be tempted if a coach of Blanc's standing came on the market.

The Frenchman is doing a marvellous job at Bordeaux and the French champions are already assured of their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League.

With Greg Vignal allegedly fully fit, isn't it time to say 'Thanks' to Liam Ridgewell for filling in so willingly at left-back, and give the defence some balance on the left-hand side?

Much as we all love the Agent (in a manly sort of admiring-a-footballer sort of way, of course, Bloopy!) he's not really proved himself to be a natural-born left-back has he?
